I obtained my Masters’s degree in Family Therapy and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. I have different work experiences: I spent 20 years in the business sector. I have also helped individuals with substance abuse issues and mental health diagnoses. I have also volunteered with children in the Promise program for Broward County Public Schools. I now specialize in intercultural couples and individuals (adults).
I immigrated to the US 30 years ago. I speak 4 languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish, and German). I lived in 4 countries and I consider myself to be culturally diverse. This means that whatever you tell me, I most likely have heard it or seen it. If not, I will be curious to learn from you without judgment.
I was once divorced, currently married with one child. I like simple things in life: cooking, entertaining, and home renovations. In my spare time, I read books (or at least collect them). I am the type of person who looks forward to the Amazon Prime truck bringing my newest book!
I conduct therapy in English, Portuguese, or Spanish. I offer a sliding scale (reduced fee) through the Open Path Collective. During this difficult time of COVID-19, I can offer teletherapy as well as I can see you in person in my office. I abide by all the CDC guidelines for an in-person visit.
My approach is brief therapy: I want you to find clarity and get unstuck as quickly as possible. If you want me to be your therapist for a long time, I am here for you as well. My license number is IMT3173 and I carry liability insurance.
Sessions last 50 minutes for individuals and sometimes longer for couples. You can call me at 754 800 4853 or you can schedule a meeting here.
